I will start with this awesome chair build by CMDR ThereIs0nly0ne as posted on the Elite Forums thread HERE
it is coming along nicely and is actually based on a screen shot of an actual in game commanders chair
Below are some of his photos (i only selected a few but in his original post there are many more "step by step" photos of how he made certain parts and with what materials etc....very good read)
